Thunder, in the end, the tester says he would take the Mobile 1 over the Pure One because of this concern. As a Duratec guy, we have concerns about oil starvation. This has been on my mind as almost all failures have been with the Motocraft/Purolator. Of course, this is by far the most common brand used here so it (probably) means nothing. But the SVT Duratec application stretches the limits of the filter application by virtue of reving to 7K RPM or higher with chips. This would result in increased oil flow so that it may max out the filter in a way that doesnt occur with 99% of applications. Anyway, hedging my bets & using Mobile One (although Terry likes another synthetic - Hard Driver which sounds good & they have great flow data).
