guys, if you think fram oil filters are so much as 'crap', why does wal-mart sell them? and i would suspect that close to 70-80% of all cars that dont have a shop or store change oil, have frams filtering the oil. if you have some type of scientific study or some article which has performed a research study and came out with information proving that the fram xtra guard oil filter has a deficiency in filtering oil, send it my way. if you can prove they're 'crap', ill switch to motorcraft. like i said though, ive been putting fram oil filters on my '84 mercury rs turbo 2.3(a rare car) since new, and it now has 154000 miles and the turbo pulls just as hard today as it did when it was new. i believe fram is the preferred consumers choice i read somewhere. i personally do not have any problems with them. again, id love to read your proof, so show me some if you can. its one thing to talk, but id love to see proof in what you're saying. thanks
