Whatever you do, be it prying or whatever, be CAREFUL! Whenever you whip out a flat blade screwdriver to pry up / snap out the pieces, make sure you don't ding up the plastic. The pieces are pretty soft and it's easy to put unsightly scratches/cuts/grooves/whatever in them. Just take it easy or wrap the screwdriver with a cloth...

As for the Contour nameplate, I can't help you - I've got a 96. The defroster switch is probably in a different place, too.
