Sounds like a pain.. ABS hardware, maybe new master cylinder, proportioning valve, spindle, etc etc.. not really sure that it's worth it for the marginal gain. Just put the SVT brakes up front and you'll be good ta go.

this is for you.look here if i wanted svt brakes in the front i would be doing that too. but i don't cuz i don't want to put some cheap bracket on just to have front svt brakes. i would spend the money for front brakes the right way and totally rebuild the front brakes with svt brakes. but guess what. THEY DON'T FIT!!!!!!!! oh by the way if i read right from a haynes manual both of the one for a 95 to 98 and a 98 too 2000. the the valve and master cylinder and the same. if i have to go out and buy them i will cuz i can. oh yeah buy the way if i would ever get aside you on a street i would just totally blow your doors in. i would love doing that so much. i take alot of pride im my car maybe too much to make it run and look excellent. so if you have something against or anything like that just back the f?ck off!!!!! later

Uhhhh. Take a chill pill hoser. You trying
start something? Don't think so. You
ESPECIALLY don't want to start anything with
Perry. I've seen him in person. He could
step on me and he'll think I'm an ant. And
I'm 6'4".

So, chill out tough guy. And SVT brakes
DO FIT. Genius.

Expect a response by Perry, SOON.

You're welcome.

John

Does your Haynes manual also tell you that the rear brakes on all cars are the same? Guess not.

Cheap bracket? What's wrong with replacing the Ford anchor bracket that is on your car now with one that came off an SVT? Are you saying that the SVT anchor braket is cheap?Pick up SVT calipers, rotors, and pads, and you have the SVT brake setup up front. Did your Haynes manual tell you that the SVT brakes don't fit? Or are you making this part up, because they most certainly do fit behind stock 15" wheels, and they work well.

Where did I say you didn't take pride in your car? I just said that changing to disks in the back isn't worth it because you will see a marginal gain. Your time and money will be much better off put into putting brakes from the SVT onto the front of your car. More bang for the buck. Trying to save you some trouble, but I guess you are somewhat masochistic...

Good luck with the Jacobs..

Hey KID, what are you on? Stop standing on your bottom lip when you talk/type and use spell and grammar check next time you post. I don't see what you saw in Perry's post that made you so upset. Why don't you just quit posting to the boards. The stuff you write just makes people shake their heads. I must say, you are ignorant of our cars if you think the SVT brakes won't fit. AND, the bracket on the brake kits for the retro is actually the Cougar caliper upper which is the newer SVT caliper set-up.

I don't EVER want to see a post like this again! Next time you'll be blocked and the thread will be deleted. No joke!

Oh, can I call you a liar now too?

Mr. I-told-everybody-I-got-a-S4-so-you-all-could-be-jealous? http://contour.org/forums/Forum33/HTML/000099.html

or is it

Mr. No-it-won't-fit-no-way-possible
Can't fit SVT brakes? (this post)

or

Can't fit the Esslinger UDP and idler pulley?
http://contour.org/forums/Forum33/HTML/000045.html

Sounds like you need to do some studying.

I rest my case.

John

That guy is a moderator???

Hightower, get him outta here...

BTW- not only could perry squash you like a bug, his car would spin donuts around yours...

Perry has one of the best set-up cars that I have seen...

AND, I agree with him. 80% of your braking comes from the front of the car. Why would you mess with the part that only controls 20%?

Loser...
