Hey Terry I really thank you for your help, and Im sure the others on this board can agree with me, but since getting a along nights rest on the idea I think I should stick with the slush, but I also think I will look into the aerocharger that you mentioned awhile ago,I think it will help with performance and save on some bread, cause working and going to school I dont think I will be able to live with out my ride those couple of days or weeks it will be down, but any further info that you will ever give will help me greatly...and the other zetecers..

I gave the atx/mtx some serious thought a while ago, i deemed it to much time and money. I'd just take the money you'd spend on the conversion, put it in the bank to save for a different ride with a stick, and take the time you'd spend, and work to make more money to buy this new ride. Thats my plan, so far its workin'!

Im planning on doing that ofcourse, but the one thing that I know that Im going to do is keep the car till it falls apart, which I hope dosn't happen in the near future, and use it as a city, and school cruser. And hopefully when the time is right my new one for weekends and such, thanks for your advice Spree...

Hell I'm just getting rid of the whole damn car! We pick my wife's new 2001 BLazer LT up on Saturday. We just had a snowstorm here and I was shocked by how worthless the car was in snow. The tires are almost brand new and it could hardly go anywhere. I'm guessing it's lack of weight due to the little 4 banger....

Well,

The V6 and the 4 cyl essentially weigh the same. I suspect it is either poor quality factory installed rubber. (The Firestone Firerocks or the Goodyear Radial GA's) or perhaps an overzealous driver

Cheers,

TB

It is not the car, it is DEFINITELY the tires. The firerocks are so worthless in any wet weather. My rear tires are going bald but due to how little I drive the car right now (in college) plus I do not have the money (also cause I am in college)to replace them. Anyway, tires can make a huge difference in the snow. A neighbor took us out in his M3 w/Blizzacks and that car had a lot of grip in the snow. I am sure the car would not do well with the performance tires installed. Anyway, I guess I am saying that the tires that come standard on the Contique are AWEFUL for snow and better tires could make the difference.
