baco99, My wife's Mystique has just over 36k miles so I just did the plugs and installed a new K&N panel filter. The wires were still in perfect shape. It depends on your mileage if you need new wires or not. The plugs in our car weren't really that bad, but they were so easy to replace I went ahead and did them anyway.

Where can I get the autolite double plats, autozone and advance don't carry them. Guy at autozone said motorcraft is closest to autolite.

There is no pep boys or farm and fleet here. ARRR. Are the autolite double plats the way to go or is there something else that is just as good?

I just read some guy's page he wrote all about plugs, talks like he's a professional spark plug expert or something, and he had negative things to say about Autolites. I'm only using them because it was all they had at Kragen... if they have Motorcraft instead, use that.
96 GL Zetec ATX, white with pinstripe, nickname " Sam Smooth " mods so far: CTA intake with homemade heat shield, KVR drilled front rotors & carbon pads w/ 500° fluid planned mods: exhaust (want to keep it quiet), e-ram (awaiting installation), diablo chip involuntary mods: compression increased after head gasket failure

I trust zetec racing knows if the autolites are good for the zetec. I'm gonna get some tomorrow. Every1 has different experiences with the same products so you never know. I can't find motorcraft double plats, only single plats.
When replacing the plugs, what do I do? Just set gap, pull off wires, take old ones out, put new ones in, and put wires back on?
