Most of you know of my tranny problems...well, I still don't have any info about what it needs to be fixed. But I know it won't be cheap, which brings me to the topic.

Assuming the repairs aren't TOO ridiculous I'm keeping the car until it's paid off or completely dies. In the mean time...I'll be starting a partial part out.

Most of you are aware of what all I have done to my car and hopefully will be interested in buying some parts off it. Unfortunately its an auto Zetec so many things wont work for all you Duratec guys(everyone?). I'd give John first dibs on anything but well...he went to the dark side. :p

The stereo, excluding the amps, stays so don't ask!! Feel free to email or call me and get dibs on stuff if its avaiable.

Alex, I'm interested in your 15's if you still have them...I'd like to go to 15s and sell off these brand new tires and the other tires I have laying around. I also have that power SVT antenna we could put on your car. Lemme know.

My SVT wheels are avaiable, though a couple of them have some curb rash. Also those brand new DBA rotors and the stainless braided brake lines I bought less than a month ago. HPP rear strut tower brace, and OMP front strut brace(two weeks old). Also have an Aussie bar with bushings and larger brackets, as well as non-SVT front sway bar bushings(poly, never installed). I haven't decided on the guage pod yet so stand by.

Sorry to hear your troubles Brad. Let me know what all you are parting with (gauge cluster, etc.) and I will hit up my wife for some cash.

Brad, that's a tough decision indeed. I hope things work out well, though. What are your plans if the tranny fix it too much $ ?
What are you going to do with your springs/struts? From the looks of it (spmotorsports...quick glance), they should fit. If you're parting those off, and they fit a V6er...dibs.

Brad.....If you do decide to sell off parts, I would be instrested in the rotors, stainless lines, and both strut bars

Colter, I still haven't decided about the tach guages because I still like to see what the engine is doing, but we'll see.

Derek, I believe the struts would work but I'm not sure about the front springs...I believe they are different between the two engines. I also haven't decided about those because it is so much work to remove/reinstall them. Again, we'll see.

Chad, excellent thanks a bunch. We can talk about all that in more detail if/when you come by this week. I may be working tonight but call me if you're free.

Still no news on the car, my brother must have talked to my Dad already and he said something about a Throttle Control Valve( )being the suspected problem. But I'm not aware of any such part on our cars so I think he's mistaken.

He's probably meaning the TPS. ooops! BUT, if I were you I'd by the shift kit we were mulling over a while back. Being that the tranny will probably be apart I'd have the shop install this unit. It's not truly a shift kit rather it aids in the flow of the fluid and significantly increases the flowing and cooling of the tranny. Also, DON'T TOUCH THE TPS anymore!

I wouldn't part out the car. I would sincerely hold on to her especially if this is the only known problem. Let's face it, the Zetec engine is rock solid! Just my 2cents.

Brad, sorry to hear about your car man. These are some tough decisions. I hope things work out for ya.

I think I'd be willing to take those SVT rims off your hands for ya if the price is right. I also have some 15's (two different styles to choose from if I can convince my mom of the trade) if you're interested. Are you looking for any 15's or the 95 SE 15's? Also, are you selling the tires with the rims or are they shot?

I think he was talking about the TPS also but I installed a brand new one just before we left for Dallas. Just talked to my Dad and he said they're still not sure what the problem is so we'll be taking it somewhere else and try that out.

Tait, it really doesn't matter which rims just as long as they're 15's. The tires on my E1 wheels *may* be going to a friend of mine who is in desperate need of tires. But, they are brand new...less than 2000 miles I'd say.

Is it throwing any codes Brad? What are you doing Friday afternoon?

Brad... lets make a deal. We could trade rims (again, you'd get your choice of which 15's you prefer), and we could talk about price for tires and what not. I'll PM you or give you a call sometime soon. I think I have your number around here somewhere.
