Where in the Springs are you at and color is your SVT? I'm at Vickers and Union, 98 T-red SVT. I'm usually cruising the F downtown or Academy. Ever get out?
Also, what is an AFC?
Mike
Hey Mike! I live in the Security area. I used to work up off of Union / Academy area, but changed jobs and changed cars -- that's a good thing.
As for my car, it's a T-Red. Yep, and has tinted windows too. I get around, but haven't done much lately because of no where to go. I keep waiting for a springs meet, but no one has mentioned it yet, just denver meets.
The AFC is an air/fuel controller. It helps to fine tune the a/f ratios for peak performance. If you add forced induction or larger air intake / throttle body, the car's computer needs help in optimizing. With a secondary controller you can fine tune the amount of air/fuel you want at specific rpm and get a much smoother power band. (makes a dynojet graph look less like a heart monitor and more like a good incline)
I hope that helps some!
Hey Derek, maybe that should be your job. Find a place that can do custom burns. Sure, I could send it in to superchips but they charge over $100! I bet the computer interface they use cost them less than that. I tell you what, it makes me want to open a performance shop. Something that is actually helpful, opposed to the wanna be places that try to rip you off and shove a boot to yer butt when your pocketbook is empty.
