I am a Cougar owner, and have been on the NECO boards for about 4 months. There isnt a Colorado NECO, so I thought I would come over here and see what up. I live out on the plains, BFE, but I go to Denver regulary. And I think I have seen one of you Col-CEG members zoom past me before. It was a black SVT on E470. I need to make it up to Bandimere sometime. You can see on my sig, what I have. Talk to you later.

Flagler!! OMG!! You weren't kidding about BFE. I drive past there on my way to OK every few months. I actually stopped there in Novemember one night, on my way back to Denver, when the roads were too icy. Right at that Conoco on the north side of I70. Welcome to the boards BTW.

FYI, I'm planning on installing some springs/struts this coming Tuesday and Wednesday if you're going to be in town. Feel free to stop by and watch/help/take pictures.

Yeah, its a small little town. Naw, I wont be in town this Tuesday or Wednesday. Whish I could watch though because I am going to order some springs and struts soon hopefully.

I can order some Roush springs for $120 shipped.
Struts, I am having a problem with. I dont want to spend a lot of money on them. Im still holding out on some ST200 struts to be shipped over. They were going for $99 for all four. What struts are you putting on. Someone told me that SVT Contour struts would fit a Cougar, and they werent too expensive.

I just picked up a '00 SVT (2 days ago!). The only mod that was done to the car was an air intake, which leaves me many options as to what goes in next, along with an empty pocket book. =)

I'm down in Colorado Springs, in case you couldn't tell. Any other springs people around?

Hey Tim ... Did you get the '00 Red ext/Tan int SVT from the Ford place off of I-25? ... I think it had 34600 miles on it .. If so I was wondering what price they came down to for you...

Trey--Congrats on being the first CO-CEG'er from the plains. I played football in college with a guy from Flagler. His name was Chris Witt and he played quarterback. He was a good athlete.

Tim--There's a few Springs guys around. Until a couple weeks ago it was just John Miks and me. Now we have a couple new guys plus you. What do you do in the Springs?

Hi Guys! I guess I should pay more attention to my computer, didn't know I already had some replies. =)

Ed, I did get the SVT from Phil Long. They were asking 17k. I offered 16k and they went for it. The car is in pretty good shape. I do need to make an appointment this week for them to look at a couple of things. I think the previous owner blew part of the amp circuit in the stereo, if I turn it up past halfway it turns into total distortion. I've also noticed if I have the throttle mostly open it has a slight stutter around 3k. Is that common or is there a possible problem? (woohoo for factory warranty)

Fast man, I just changed jobs but currently working down at the Matrix. (big grocery warehouse in fountain) Do you guys have a local hangout? I'd like to meet with some peeps who can show me the ins and outs of the car. A good buddy of mine is real big into the SHO's and the Mitsu VR4's. If you've even been down to bandimier (sp?) I'm sure you've seen him and/or his brother. We also all live in the Security area.

Tim ... Yea thats the one I was going to buy ... Phil Long Ford on Motor City Drive .... I couldn't justify the price since I have a 98 SE Sport with 21,400 (paid off) with all options or I would have gotten it ..

Actually the Radio in that car was blown (thats what they told me) ... I was told they were waiting for a new one that was on order to replace the blown one ... Might want to check that out that they actually put the new one in instead of ripping you off ... I doubt it would have been on purpose(at least I hope not) ...

I was told when I was there last week that they had already put the new dash in so hopefully that won't give you any problems ... I know a lot of people are still waiting for their replacement dash so feel lucky there ...

As for the stutter at 3K RPMs I get that checked out ... Did you buy the extended warranty? I know the original was going to run out in 1,600 miles when it reaches 36,000 .... I remeber it having 34,600 ....

Other than that it looked really nice ... Glad someone got it instead of it sitting on the lot collecting dust ...

Looks like the Cougars are trying to take over CO-CEG.. jk.. anyways it's cool to know that there are other cougars in Colorado. Very few are on NECO which kind of sucks because there are quite a few out there but then again none really have any mods done. Maybe we will be able to meet up with the CEG guys at their next meet which would be cool.
