tony, did you need anything else? I know the headers come with MIL thingys, but what about gaskets? I just thought about that...did you buy extras or did they come with gaskets? Are they needed?

Came with the gaskets but keep in mind I bought it off a guy on the board out of the box. So, I'm not positive they came with it but pretty sure. The eliminators....well, they are still sitting in the box. He said if the check engine light comes on to stop in and he will put the on.

I love it!!! Little raspy when cold, but once it warms up, it's got a nice deep sound to it. Also, if you are standing in front of the car and someone revs the engine you can here the air whoosh through, pretty cool. Performance-wise, much smoother throughout, more noticeable gains up top. Won't have time to dyno this weekend so hopefully next weekend.

Since I joined the Mercedes club(at first, thought we had to be affiliated with a club to get out on the track at Second Creek) I figure I might as well take advantage of it. They have the track all day Sunday, WOO HOO!!! I'll let you guys know how I fare against the Mercs.

How was it Tony? I was thinking about your first dyno, and I was wondering if you have cleaned your upper intakes at all? I know they do build up with crap, and that you will loose a bit of power if they are dirty. This might be why your car dyno'd a little on the low side.
Also, did you reset the computer after you installed the headers? If not, I advise you do it does help power. Don't expect the power to come right away though, it takes about a week of driving for the computer to figure everything out.

I'll try and let everyone know when a good day for "garage madness" would be. Maybe the weekend of the 20/21st? I'm trying to plan a bike trip to Fruita one weekend this month and I need to schedule around that.

I decided not to go. There wasn't enough time in the morning as I was going to the Broncos game in the afternoon. Would anyone be interested in next Wednesday? I don't think it would be a big deal to get out there around three if there is nothing going on that day. Alex, does your dyno from paragon start at 4200 RPM's??? That just doesn't seem right to me. I think I'm gonna schedule another run this weekend. And no, I haven't cleaned the upper intake, maybe I will do that before the next dyno.

I believe that my three dyno's all started at about 2500 rpm. Definatly below the secondaries opened up, thats for sure. What I would do if I were you is show up a bit early, pop your hood to let things cool down a bit, then dyno. Make sure that you get both the graphical as well as tabular print outs of your dyno run.

I don't think I'll be doing any more track days this year, as after 104k miles I'm starting to have some 3rd gear syncro problems. Nothing major, but no need to make it any worse than it is now.
