Was anyone aware that we have to join the Mercedes club in order to get on the track Friday? Maybe I missed something here but that is the info I'm getting. It's $45 I think. I'm getting the number tomorrow, I guess we can join over the phone. One cool thing is they insure your car if anything happens. I don't know how much but at least its something.

You are right...The last time we ran there the director of 2nd creek said we had to be a member of an SCCA club to race there. He let us last time but said he wouldn't let us again. So you do HAVE to join one of the clubs running that day before you can run. Are ya'll still going?

More info...Guy I work with checked the phone message that the track leaves on voicemail. They have Public Test and Tune Days from 5 till dusk. Is this different than what we are doing tomorrow? The question is, do you have to be affiliated with a club for 5 till dusk? I should have the number for Mercedes Club around lunch.

I'm getting really frustrated. First and foremost, tomorrow is NOT a Mercedes day. A friend of mine talked to Bob at the track earlier this week and told him it was a Mercedes day BUT I just talked to Paul Prigge the Mercedes Club regional rep and he said his information showed tomorrow being a Porsche day. Alex, you mentioned we were going to be running with some Porsches. Do we have to be part of the Porsche club to go tomorrow or just a club? I think I just joined the Mercedes club for nothing.....
I can get any definitive info from the track because the phone just rings and rings. Alex if you know more about the situation can you lets us know.

Well, I was at the track Aug 3rd and spoke to Bob himself. He said that Friday Aug 17th was going to be a "Porsche Day" and that we should have NO trouble running with those guys. He made no mention of having to join the PCA (Porsche Club of America) in order to run. Just the regular $60/$48 deal that we had last time. I'll try calling Bob just to make sure though..
