Hey all....I just got back in town from being in Atlanta for the past 10 weeks off and on. I spent a bunch of time with 98RedSVT and some other CEG guys down there. They do stuff all the time and have a blast!! Anyways, Next Weekend the 1st (Sunday) is the All Ford Day at Bandimere speedway. They are having an all ford show/race/burnout contest/slalom/midway..Etc... I am planning on attending with a couple of guys I know that have 5.0's. I have raced this every year with my 70 cougar but am bringing the SVT this time. More of you should come up!!! Details at Bandimere Speedway
Or e-mail me. Post if you want to go and we can all pit together and maybe get a seperate show category. Also the weekend after (the 8th, sunday) is the NIRA Import and Sport Compact drags. I am planning on attending that too. We are eligable to run with the imports and show those V-Tech's some REAL Duratech!!! I have gone to this before but never raced at it...It's fun...Girls/bass contest/show/midway (although nothing for our cars)...We can also pit together, drive in together whatever...You all should come!!!!

Sounds like fun to me. At this point I and a friend from work are most definitely going to go. Not sure if I will actually race. I think I need a little practice before I'm out on the track for the world to see. I think it's obvious what I'm driving, my friend has a '96 S/C Mustang. He's pretty sure he would just be going to watch but you never know.

Okay...The cost to race/show is $30....2-3 time trials and then off to first round. The gates open at 8:30 so we could meet at the Conoco just off c-470 and morrison road between 8:15-8:45 or something. That way we can drive in together and pit together. If we want a good pit spot we should really all try to be there at 8:15-8:25 so we can roll in at 8:30. I have 4 years experience bracket racing so I can help anyone that needs help or is scared of bracket racing. I also have plenty bottles of write on for writing our dial-in's on our windows. I am also planning on bringing my $1000.00 tag weatherstation computer which is a bracket racers best friend. It should be a blast. We can even pack up some coolers and does anybody have a canopy on pole thing (like a tent with no sides)? That would be cool! Post your cell phone #'s if you plan to go in case someone gets lost Sunday morning.
I live real close if you want a place to crash the night before Alex...

Chad, et. al.
I can't make the 1st...but the 8th is very very very tempting. Never dragged before, but I watched a friend w/ a SE and he did very well (at an import day...mu ha ha).

You do not need a helmet unless your car runs faster then 12.99....And if you have a contique that will run that fast or faster at 5800' I would trade my ocean front property in Pueblo for it....Sorry...That kind of sounds smartass...Didn't mean it..
Derek - Oh yes the 8th will be fun. On import day the car's are MUCH slower so our cars will run in one of the "faster" brackets...Should piss off a few V-Techs!!!!
If you guys don't want to race, you should at least show so we can park all together in the pits!!!! I am psyched!!! Who Hoo!

I'm definitely going....there I said it. Might have convinced my sisters husband to go as well, hes' got a '01 GT. Friend at work is also 99%. I've asked around about a tent but no luck.

The more I think about it the more I think I might race to. I need a baseline before I do anything else to my car.

W/altitude what should I expect to run? I read an article that said it's roughly a 3% handicap for every 1000 feet. That's 15% for us!!! That sound right?
