As my OEM KDWs wear down, I've started thinking about their replacements. I can probably get away with doing nothing until next spring. Got 40,000 km on them now, I figure they're good for another 10k no prob.

As many of you, I *love* tire shopping, and imagining how a particular tread pattern would perform, researching tire reviews, etc, etc.

This is for a 99 SVT, and sized 225/50/16. Minimum V rated. Doesn't matter if it's all-season or not. Must have decent treadwear rating. Traction AA rating preferable.

Ultra-high performance Overall (price/performance) List:
1. Firestone Firehawk SZ50EP
2. Bridgestone Potenza S-03
3. Dunlop SP9000
4. BF-Goodrich g-Force KDWS
5. Kumho Ecsta 712

All-season performance overall list:
1. BF-Goodrich g-Force KDWS
2. Bridgestone Potenza RE950
3. Dunlop SP5000 Asymmetrical

Tires I will not buy:
1. BFGoodrich g-Force KDW (too noisy!)
2. Goodyear anything (when did they last innovate?)
3. Continental (models are too confusing)
4. Michelin Pilot anything (too pricey!!) -- well OK, I have Pilot Alpin snows
5. Yokohama (someone please tell me the logic in their line of performance tires...they seem to be all over the map)
