I could have milked 35k out of my OEM KDW's, but that would have meant no driving in rain and obviously not in the snow. For the performance they give, 30k is a lot of miles. Many comparable tires only last 20k or less with the same diving conditions.

I had to replace my OEM KDWs awhile back (not a wear issue...it's a long story), they had about 22K miles on them, and tire guy said they were about "half-done, and good for another 15 to 20K." I thought that was pretty good for an "ultra high performance tire."

I drive fairly conservatively (most of the time).
