If a business doesn't care, then the BBB complaint will be ignored. I can think of one business that sells Contour parts that falls into this category. If they do care (like that phone company), results should be positive. I should have thrown that in there, as I was auuming a company that practices the old "nobody can come to the phone" scam would care about the BBB. Point noted.

Funny you said that....I was just about to say that credits (especially on credit cards) "can" take up to 6 months to process. That's not the business that takes so long it's whoever you have your credit card through.
I used to work in the credit card business and that's possibly the one thing that most people don't know. Just an FYI for future.
Glad to hear you got your money back though and yes, thanks for the warning!!

Speaking of credit cards, AmEx I have found to be particularly blood thirsty on behalf of their cardholders. Glad to hear you got it back tho!
Every time I come online I wonder if the forums will be up

May 30 STILL NO CREDIT. i call and talk to Albert since i can NEVER get ahold of ralph ( once again see note at end of post) Albert says its Anya (secretary) who deals with credits and she will call me back in 15 minutes....(i talked to him at 3:30 pm)......i wait till 4:30 pm, no phone call......so after calling and getting the run around a few more times, i finally get ahold of anya...she says it will be processed tonight 5/30 or tomorrow night 5/31 In case you didn't know, if you paid with a VISA bankcard (Which is the ONLY way I buy mail order), and they pull stunts like that, you just call your bank branch, and they will credit your account with the balance originally paid to the firm in question. And then your bank will submit the dispute form to VISA for you, and they will persue the BS. I had a bad part sent to me from a junkyard. They were supposed to be sending me a set of Audi Xenon complete light fixtures for $420. When I got them, they were the halogen units instead. The guy at the junkyard when I called him, swore that they were xenons and not halogens, and said they couldn't give me a return. There is a BIG price difference between the xenon and halogen units. So I said I would send them back, and he said they would not accept them. And so I told him I would dispute the charge at VISA and hung up. Next day I gave the bank the detailed letter describing what had happened (as requested) and my bank temporarily credited my account for the $420 bucks the same day. Then I got a letter from VISA saying that I should get a credit soon, because the claim had been resolved, and so then, roughly three weeks later, that junkyard credited my account for the same amount ($420), and so I called my bank, and they took that $420 deposit they had temporarily loaned me to cover the time gap. I never did have to suffer once. Just remember to ONLY USE VISA anytime you are purchasing on-line or mailorder
