I have the Borbet Type T's 17/7.5 on my car and yes they do rub. I originally shod them with 225/45 RE730's and the tires rubbed mainly in the back. Especially if there was anything in the trunk, or passengers in the back seat. Under hard driving all 4 tires will rub. After wearing out the fronts I have switched to the Khumo's ECSTA 712's in the same size (The Bridgestones are much better than this tire). They also rub, but not as bad. I am running the factory suspension with 25k on the car. If you have no problem with rolling the fenders, then rubbing should not be a problem. That is not an option for me because I Autocross the car and rolling the fenders is not legal in stock class. I have been very happy with the 225's on the car and the 17's. It handles significantly better than the stock tires(with the Bridgesones). In response to the Striped Brick, Tire Rack Carries the Factory SVT Rims for our car, but the cost was more than the Borbet so that is what I chose. Also, I have bent 2 of my Borbet's on potholes, so be careful to avoid potholes. And when asked why I did not avoid them I always reply. "I do not advise radical swerving at 110mph."
Hope this helps.
