I don't have an owner's manual handy, but I think the torque spec on alloys is around 30 ft-lbs. (85 lbs sounds kinda high)- I personally haven't had any problem with loosening after using the stock Ford lug wrench and the "elbow torque wrench method"
I think there's a couple of reasons not to over-torque: 1) fatigue on the wheel studs 2) possibility of tweaking wheel/ hub
Beware of tire shop air impacts!
