Actually, that is the size tire that is an exact +2 upgrade for the speedometer. The 225/40/18 is 3.8% off. Yes I know that's not alot but tirerack is justified in its recommendation as it is a perfect match.

We looked all over for rims and came across www.wheelmart.com turned out real good. Purchased a complete set of wheels for $37.00 each. UPS cost $50.00 and we are well pleased.

i bought the fox 5 from tirerack they look nice and they were kinda cheap($95ea.). but they'll never be as nice looking as my others:(

I bought a very nice set of 17 x 7 1/2 rims from BAT. I chose the 7 spoke soft effect rim . . . the rims look great on my Contour . . . I've received a lot of compliments. The wheels came with new lugs and new covers with the Ford logo on them. I paid about $200 ea for them.

To the guy who wants to get wheels that not everyone else can get. I understand your reasoning but you are talking cash. Go to any custom wheel shop, there are plenty, and drop a TON of cash on some wheels that most of us would never consider. TireRack is hyped because the prices are very good. You want to stick out? Go throw on some dubs at around $400 each. I promise you, you'll be the only one.

How did you get 4 wheels for $37? I looked at that site and they are very expensive. Even the 16's were all over $100.

And 1010tires.com had only 2 choices for the contour?
