Thanks for the replies, esp the tire rack link; I understand the manufacturers' reasoning, and it makes sense, although I don't think I'll be buying a new tire yet (109 bucks, if I remember right).
The puncture in the tire is at the middle of the tread, so I guess I'll be fine if I just drive a little slower. Doing 80-85 on a winter tire is'nt exactly a genius thing to do anyway.
