I think the original poster's question was the difference between the RE730's and KDW's, not the S-03's. Right. Between the KDW & RE730, almost zero difference in handling and feel. They both get louder with wear too. The S-03 link was an example. Look at similar specs for any tire one might be interested in.

KDW's and KDWS's Suck! I had both!
They are loud as hell!
I will never buy them again!
Check my sig for my awesome tires of choice. Kinda pricy for the new EP's but awesome tires.

Is that the only reason the KDW's suck, the loudness? I've heard they are actually great tires, although not as good as the ones you have. By your logic, I could say SVT Contours suck just because I have something better.

Been away for a few days but I am running the s-03's on stock E1 wheels. The size is 205/50/16 i went with the narrower one because I heard that they run wide. This is on a stock suspension.

I didn't say they sucked because of bad handling. The KDW's aren't bad. I was very unimpressed by the KDWS's. I said they are loud and thats why I think they suck! I get in MMars car with KDW's and cant' wait to get out because the noise is so recockulous! Out of eight KDW/KDWS tires all but one had a puncturein 18 months. I've had the SZ50's for about 8 months and not a single puncture. Now I know that is probably just bad luck but where I work hasn't change yet.

Yeah, my kdw's are obnoxious. I never really noticed that much until I put my snow tires on (Pilot Alpin). After that I was amazed how much quieter it was, heh. I think I'll try the S-03s in the 205/55/16 size this spring.

Exact same experience for me (Pilot Alpins in the winter, KDW in the summer).
However, I've never had the puncture problem in 3+ years with my KDW's. 32,000 miles and counting.

Hey Mr. Next to Pollo's Place (where the F*** is that?) Speaking of F-1 cars, guess who won last Sunday's race....Michelin!!!! The only reason Bridgestone won any races is because Googyear pulled out and Bidgestone was the only supplier! BTW, Goodyear has won more races, F-1 or otherwise than all of the Jap crap companies combined, by a tremendous margin. Also, far more Porsches, Ferraris, etc. were/are shod with Goodyears, Pirellis, etc. than the Jap crap. Need I go on? Before you TWYA (figure out the abbreviation), consider the facts.
