I'm thinking of getting rims on my new ride come spring time. I've looked a little online, haven't actually gone to any local shops. Any suggestions on 18's? Will probably wrap 'em in 225, maybe 235/45 tires. I don't really want to drop the car, but should I? Any suggestions on either rims or tires for me? Any ballpark estimates on damage to my wallet?

It all depends on where you go to buy them. You can buy in packages with tires and save a bit of money that way.

If you didnt already know Focus rims will fit Contiques.

I personally would go with 225/40 or 225/35 and then drop the car alittle.

O.Z. Superleggras are now available for our cars in an 18" size. Lightweight and strong. Tirerack.com carries them, talk to Luke. 225 is about the widest tire you'll be able to get in our wheel wells on an 18. People already have rubbing issues with 225's on the stock 16's. Do a quick search for 18's and you should find what other people are using and what sizes/prices they got also. HTH. laugh

225/40R18 is the size you'll want.

www.tirerack.com will let you see the wheels on your car. The mentioned Superleggra is my favorite rim also.
