Many people say the KDW is loud, but they are actually quieter than my Firehawks were. So they can't be too bad and you can't beat the handling/price.

About the Firestone Firehawk SZ 50 EP, yes awesome performance, good ride quality, and hot looking. However the treadwear was not what I was expecting, I might get 18k miles on them and I have kept up with air pressure, balancing, rotation, and alignment and the wear is even on all tires. I do drive on the aggressive side and have taken a few country road trips on them and they have been a blast to ride on, but I think I will be looking for less perfromance and longer treadwear on the next set. Perhaps RE950's, not sure yet.

The KDW is one of the best performance tires that you can buy, but it is going to be very noisy and such. KDW propbably has the best performance marks, but other tires like perelli have better over all ratings that take into consideration things like performance, traction, comfort, noise, etc.

thanks for the replies. I've pretty much narrowed it down to the G-force, which is what is on the car now. or the Bridgestone Potenza 730s. Anyone have any experience with the Potenzas?

also, I'm looking at 225/50/16s, I understand they fit fine. Anyone have any other experiences with that size?

I just got these tires. I am very impressed so far, especially for the price I paid.

I suggest you check the tirerack.com reviews for the RE730's. Let me warn you, most of the reviews claim the tires are extremely noisy as they wear (i cannot confirm or deny this, as my tires are 3 weeks old). So far however, they have been extremely quiet and performance is great. Do a search for RE730 in the tire forum and youll get plenty of results.

Here is a head start:

The 225/50/16 size should work fine, especially because you SHOULD have the revised inner fenders on the later model SVT's. (You can search this as well)

Good luck!
