I was in the same boat as you. 99 SVT, #1329. Loved the handling, hated the noise. Kinda wanted something a TINY bit softer as well, and a tire that looked like it filled the wheel well every so slightly more.

The 225-50-16 KDWS do this perfectly. I've had mine since December, and it's been a joy. Noise is way down. Beefier rubber looks better on the rim I think.

Winters here in Ohio have been mild. KDWS is not a winter tire, but it's all I need.

KDW almost left me stranded one winter. I went skiing at Seven Springs, and the parking lot was slightly sloped, with packed snow. _BARELY_ did I get out of there, after much frustration. ;-)

No rubbing.
