He is saying that engines are dying because of loss of oil pressure around the crankshaft, not in the heads. You will probably loose pressure in the lower part of the engine before you loose pressure in the heads, so the oil pressure guage may not save your engine if it is hooked up to your head. Personally I am going to buy the mirko pan at whatever price he is charging as soon as my engine is in.
