Right, thanks to Paul I now have a trip computer - slotted straight into the dash and used the exisiting clock multiplug - as far as I can tell the only function I do not have is the ambient temperature display - not really a big problem !
My car is a '97 Mondeo Ghia.
I hope it's as simple for you guys on t'other side of the pond.
