I have a half inch cut in my side wall, and was wondering if a tube would be a good fix? The tires are about 8 months old and I hate to have to replace one. lots of tread still left.

Any advantage or disadvantages going with a tube?

Sorry man it has to be replaced. Any hole or cut in a sidewall is not repairable. The sidewall is the strength of the tire and once it is punctured it is no good.

Doh! I guess the sidewall would just continue to rip with the tube.
