Does anyone have the limits on wheel/tire size and offsets for a '98 CSVT?

With the bazillions of wheels out there, how do you figure out if the ones you're looking at will work and not munch bearings and eat fenderwells?

guys are now stuffing 19x8's on their cars. Some say you'll need coilovers to fit them others say you don't. I'm still running my 18x8's with a 40mm offset, tire size is 225/40-18.

My 18's at 43mm offset with 225 rubber seem just right. No rubbing on the metal fenders. I can't tell about contacting the suspension components though as I'm running a coilover kit. Might be getting close for a standard setup...

Another .02$

I am running 19x8 wheels with pos45 offset
and 225-35-19's no rubbing at all--
for suspension I set it up with coilovers and eibach's and konis- and I still have plenty of room- aprox 2 inches left to drop on coilovers- and would recomend this combo highly-- I am so glad I did not settle with 18's -- I tossed that idea for a long time that I should just go with 18's and stop fretting

I have 17's and I think that they are a rough ride.... I can only imagine how rough 19's could be

Currently: 2002 ztw focus wagon, black, manual. Yippee it sucks!!

Those of us with 19's or 18's sure don't do it for smoothness. You get what you want. Bigger looks better, doesn't mean it feels better. laugh wink
