OP chavez Junior Member C Joined: Sep 2000 Posts: 17	98 SVT. I'm looking at purchasing winter tires for the front only. Any one ever try this? Tirerack says to use in set of four, which I'm sure is better, but I really can't afford that right now.

The newer style "winter-only" tires are so soft & grippy , the car will be DANGEROUS if driven that way . DON'T DO IT !!!
