if you're not really looking for high-performance tires, I'd take a long hard look at the RE950s. They have killer ratings, look good, 400 treadwear, so they ought to grip decent, and should wear quite nicely.
If you want more of a performance tires, I'd either go with the S03 (dunno how loud they are htough) or the Firehawk SZ50s.
