I just picked up the RE940 (UHP-A/S) from COstco..
I couldn't pass up the $113(x4) - $50 coupon..
I'm wondering why no-one else mentions this model.. But here are my thoughts w/ 50 miles on them..
Much QUIETER than the KDW they replaced There was cupping and a slow leak in one of the KDW's when they were replaced.. (possible tread separation / bubble after 40+k) However, the RE940 do NOT seem to have the same stability or handling than either the GS-C or KDW. (Ofcourse i now have 98k on the car) and i did switch back from the 215-50 KDW back to the OEM 205-55
It is a tradeoff-- but after my experience in the snow in the KDW, I had to go w/ the all seasons. If i recall, the GS-C weren't too bad up in vermont snow.
We'll see how the wet traction is today..
