I have had 225/50/16 Goodyear Eagle GT II's on my stock E0 wheels ever since I got the car (60,000 miles ago) and have never had a problem with rubbing even with the excess weight of a competition audio system in the trunk.

225/50R16 fits my car just fine. I don't know what to tell you.

Stock E1 Rims with 225/50/16 Firehawk SZ50EP and no rub at any time. Also, if you're interested I've got those tires for sale since they were on my car that got totalled. Email or PM me if you're interested in a good deal on them. They've got half life or a little better.

Thanks,
Rick

Last week bought potenza 950's in 225/50/16 on a stock 2000 SVT and there is about an inch + of room in the rear. From what I have read from other post's most of when there is problms it's because of after market rims or mods like lower springs ex.. ex..
