I have been having brake squeaking issues that have gradually gotten worse. I just changed back to my stock rims with all-seasons on and the squeaking and hard braking vibration stopped instantly. Are my 17" rims damaged / bent or are the 35mm offset, slightly negative camber somehow just not right for the car? I am thinking of selling the wheels/tires, but I definitely don't want to sell damaged goods to anyone! Plus if they are bent, wouldn't that be covered under warranty?

35 mm offset is way wrong for the car and may have something to do with your troubles. Stock is 49.5 mm. I had 42 mm rims at one time and didn't know if that was right either.

I would agree, except that tirerack.com specifically said the wheel would work just peachy with the car, which is why I'm confused. On top of that, there wasn't a problem until recently. I'd had them on since April and JUST removed them, and only the past two months, I'd say, were bad news. Sure it still could be they were simply wrong and were slowly warping the brakes or lug bolts or what have you. It's just strange that if they were warping anything, you'd think the problem would, from then on, be maintained by the OEM wheels, but the problems seem to be gone now. Anyway, you very probably are right. I just don't entirely understand how ALL the evidence fits together.
