My '99 Contour (V6/MTX) just hit 20000 miles and I've noticed that the tires are running a bit low on tread. I live in Wisconsin and we drive on snow and ice for 6 months/year so I'm thinking of putting on some new tires before the snow flies. The Firestones that came with the car seemed to handle well but I'd like a tire that handles well and lasts for more than 20k miles. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
