I am going to purchase a set of 18x7.5 Konig Tantrums for my '99 SVT and would appreciate some tire advice. I am considering 2 sizes, 215/35-18's and 225/35-18's. The original 215/50-16 KDW's are 24.3" in diameter. The 215/35-18's are 24.1" while the 225/35-18's are 24.3". All pretty close.

My question is this: Will the 225/35-18's fit the 7.5" wheel or are they too wide?

And yes, I want 35's; handling and looks are more important to me than ride.
