This is not a rag on tire rack but why does everyone use them. They are ok but no where the best price around. I had adr revolution rims with toyo t1s tires 215/45/17 shipped to my house mounted balance and with lugs ready to just put on for under 1100.00 including shipping. Some of tire racks prices are ok but maybe you might want to check these sites out too. Try some of these. www.wheelmax.com www.victoriatire.com I dont work for any of these companies just wanted to help you guys out with a better selection and better prices. Brian

Customer service. Reliability. Turn-around time on orders........just for starters. Many folks dont care to take risks when dropping so much money, so they stick with what they know works.

Whats the Risk? My tires came in two days, you are protected if you use a credit card you can always hold up payment if there is a problem. And to avoid a problem just dont place the order online call the place and talk with a person. Just seems weird not to shop around and see what style wheels you can get for a good price. But whatever make you confortable. Brian Originally posted by Sanctum: Customer service. Reliability. Turn-around time on orders........just for starters. Tire or wheel is messed up in shipping. How hard will it be to get a new one? Will you be driving around on 3 tires for a couple days? How easy is the company to deal with? Lots of us have used Tire Rack multiple times and trust them with our business. They've earned our trust and we're willing to keep sending business to a place that we know is good. Not saying that the two places you mentioned aren't good, it's just that we know Tire Rack and have the ear of one of their reps on this forum. Thanks for the links. I'll check them out when I need new tires next and see if they can beat Tire Rack.

If 4 sets of tires and one set of wheels/tires from Tire Rack over the last few years without one slipup of any kind means anything, that's why I keep going back! Recently bought a set of Toyo Proxes RA-1s for my Mazda from another dealer only because Tire Rack doesn't carry them.

Why Tirerack? Because when I go to my local tire shop and ask them a price on a good tire (nothing they have in stock is good), they look up the price in a Tirerack catalog. Hmmm, why don't I just go there to begin with?
Tirerack is a wharehouse. They stock a wide variety of brands and types. Wheelmax has only 3 or 4 brands of tires. If they have what you are looking for at a good price, go for it. But never have I heard of any real sports cars carrying Toyos. Kuhmos are an excellent bargin tire, and they carry it at good prices. Yokohama? Must have a bad name in their customers eyes if they only carry the Avid H4. I can get Michelin, Dunlop, Bridestone, BFG, Pirelli, or Yoks, all at about the best prices you can find.
Still asking why? Price, selection service. There ar other places to buy tires/wheels, but none so comprehensive.

In reponse to this post I wanted to say a couple of things. We are considered the experts in our industry (even by our competitors). We are, as far as I know, the only independant company who performs extensive tire testing in a controlled environment that can actually give detailed results an feed back. We have an engineering staff whose sole responsibility is vehichle fitment. Our two heads of that group have over 35 years of experience in the aftermarke and performance wheel industry. Our entire company is dedicated to customer service with prompt professional response to your individual needs. We are not a "one size fits all" type of company. Which is why we have won the JD Powers customer service awards so many times. We not only carry but stock 15 different tire brands and 20 wheel brands. As you may have noticed we do not have sales or group buys because we beleive in keeping our pricing at the lowest level we can for everybody.

I'm sure you are a good shop and do fine work. I was just adding some options for the people here at the site.
And if your that good you wont mind the competition.
Some people are getting all upset. Get a grip you can buy stock in tire rack for all I care. Like I said at the begining of this I was not trying to rag on tire rack I was just wondering why everyone seemed to use them if they are close to where everyone lives or what the deal is.
I was just trying to offer up a few more options that I found on the net. Tire Rack may be great but how do you know if you dont look at other stores or sites its just called shopping around there. I mean kill the drama already.

Customer Service and they take care of their customers after the sale too. That means more to me than saving a few bucks.
