Get Toyo Proxes RA1 tires for the ultimate performance, just don't expect them to last any longer than 12o0o miles or so...

There's a guy around here running RA1s on his
street M3 coupe... not sure I'd want to be on
the highway in a downpour with them though...

Ignore Nitto entirely if you are looking for
the kick-ass price-no-object champion though,
I've heard so many stories of disappointment.

More than likely you will want the S-03, but
I've yet to read a *single* road test for the
tire... so all-around I'd go with either Toyo
T1-S or Bridgestone S-02 Pole Position. Guy I
know took me out in his Porsche this weekend
with a fresh set of S-02s and plastered me to
the a-pillar through a few decreasing-radius
cloverleafs at 50-60 MPH or so... MAN those
suckers stick. Solid as hell and very quiet,
even when you're beating the s@!t out of 'em.

I'd look at the Toyo RA1 or BFG KD if you did
not expect much rain, as these are some nice
sticky meats, but for an all-round real-world
sometimes-it-rains tire *with* dry abilities
in the high "max performance" end of things:

Pilot Sport
PZero Rosso
S-02 Pole Position
S-03 Pole Position
T1-S
AVS Sport

With again my recommendations being the S-02
or T1-S, UNTIL we know for sure that the S-03
is actually going to be as kickass as we all
seem to suspect...

T.
