I'd recommend these for your description of a
tire with lots of grip (both wet and dry) and
decent treadwear characteristics:
Toyo Proxes T1-S
Firestone Firehawk SZ50 EP
Bridgestone Potenza RE730
Check the wet numbers and UTQG ratings for
those and you'll see they're all great tires
for the money. The Firestone is essentially a
bargain-bin S02-PP with a different pattern
on it and the Toyo tire has done well in some
reviews I've read, even when put up against a
Pilot Sport or similar.
I'd stay away from the Parada; every single
person I've talked to at Tire Rack has just
shrugged that tire off as more of a fashion
statement than a serious performer.
Do you really need the all-season ability of
the P7000 SS? If not...
