Team dynamics DTM 17" w/ 225/45 Bridgestone Potenza RE73 weigh 48.25lbs

Stock SVT wheels weigh 19lbs
Stock SVT Wheels w/ BFG KDW weigh 38lbs (25K, lots of tread wear here)

I added just over 10lbs per corner. I have not noticed a "significant" acceleration difference, but all driving has been on the street. AutoX and track events next summer may tell a different story. The car feels heavier and quicker at the same time. Lower profile tires explain the quicker portion, the heft is more than just butt dyno perception, reference timd's comment above.

Mabey others can chime in with other weights. Then you could do some un-sprung calculations. Based upon an article in Sport Compact Car a month or two back, unsprung weight is a significant factor, but so is sprung weight. The key is the begining weight of the car and wheels. In talking equal weight changes, our 3000lb+ Contours are less prone to the impact than say a Miata.

Good luck

Mark
