The Telstar is no longer sold here in Australia- it was made in Japan by Mazda and fully imported. The Mondeo was sold in it's place, and now that is no longer sold here either- so I'd hardly say we get all the good cars! We were only able to buy the V6 Mondeo (ST24 only) for 18mths before they pulled the plug on the entire Mondeo range.

The Telstar model pictured previously was the last shape sold here, until around 1994, and was available with a 2l 4 cylinder or a 2.5l V6. The top of the range had 4WS and a sunroof, with a sedan version also available. There were no turbo versions in that model- an earlier model (ugly in comparison) did have a 2.2l 4 cylinder 12V turbo engine.
