I have an E1 SVT with the Koni/Eibach suspension. I am interested in getting some aftermarket 16" wheels (probably through the tire rack), but the width of all of them is .5 to 1 inch wider than a stock SVT wheel. Now I know if the offset is a bit lower, this won't be a problem. But how much lower does it need to be for the tire to clear the rear fender lip on a lowered car? Will they all work fine? I've tried some MSW Superturismos on the car with 205/55 tires, but over bumps they rubbed on both sides in the back. I believe they are 7.5" wide wheels, but I don't know the offset. Clearly though, they don't work.
Second question: Are all of the aftermarket wheels shown on the tire rack that fit the SVT hubcentric, or do they just have the right bolt pattern and offset?
