Need some ideas,
I have 22K on my Bridgestone Pole Position's
I bought from the Tire Rack. I had a flat on the DC beltway this AM and took the tire in for repair. The shop would not repair it because of excessive wear on the inside of the tire. After inspection all tires show the same wear. I had them aligned at the time of install and rotated every 5K miles. I now need a new set(bummer). Anyone have any
ideas how I can avoid the problem again? The tires are on the stock rims and the car has not been lowered.

How many miles on the car? Were they the stock size? Do you trust the alignment?

Could be that your struts and springs are starting to sag. Honestly though, 22,000 miles out of a 180 AA A tire is about normal and maybe even a little better. There's guys on this forum that have worn out KDW's in that amount of mileage and they're 300 AA A.
I think you must drive fairly gently and the way the camber sits on Tours the insides will wear faster. I like to corner and usually wear out the outsides first.
How much tread was left on the outsides?

i had that problem on the stock tires. long story. cost me a grand to fix. this is really a worth while mod if you find the following worthwhile.

1) repaired what should have been right out of the factory.

2) raised blood pressure.

3) depleeted wallet greatly.

if you are into those kinds of effects, this mod is for you.

i had a severly bent rear control arm and a slightly damaged front control arm. My alignment was never right straight out of the factory. I took it in like 3 times and they kept re-aligning it. Finally I told them, this is not doing the trick, there has to be something else. they put the car up and took a look underneath, low and behold was the problem. i argued and aruged, but they would not fix it, i even wrote a letter to ford, no help... they said the only way this kind of damage could have been done is by having the car towed out of a ditch. which i never did, and even if i ever had, why would i attach a chain to the rear control arm, and how would that bend the front one? anyway, bunch of bs on their part, they just didn't want to fix it. all i know is, i wore through the rear tires (insides) extremly fast. at first they blamed it on "excessive hard driving" which is a bunch of bs. not even possible to do that, even if i did drive the car hard, it would not wear the inside of the REAR tires. finaly after some serious arguing and a letter from the dealer saying they would replace any tires and do any control arm work needed for the next 24 months, i argreed to have the work done... i got severly screwd on the whole deal... anyway, she drives like a dream now... i am still sour about the whole thing...
