I need help again. I got a lot of response for a paint job a few weeks ago, but I don't have 6 grand to throw around, so I won't get that done for a while. I don't get paid until next Friday (Damn Best Buy! ),but I was wondering where I should go. I want the platinum tint, but I want to be darker than what I've seen, maybe with a 20-30% tint under it. I don't want it to be opaque; I can spray paint it myself. I really need to hide my new amp that I put in the dash. Again, any response is appreciated. Eric

If I am not mistaken, the legal limit in TN is 35% all around...Just be careful with cops in the area if you get this done.

I had this same problem when I talked to a guy at work. Apparently, some people say whatever number percent that will allow light to pass through, whereas others say a different number for how much light is blocked out. When I said I want 20-30% under the mirror tint, you must have thought 70-80% of light is blocked out. I want 70-80% light to come into the car. I want it a little darker than the Lexus RS-300, and also be more silver in color.
Thanks again, Eric

ahhh...I see, my mistake...you'll have no trouble from the po-pos if you only want 70-80%...Is there a reason that you want so little light to be blocked?

Doesn't the mirror tint block out a certain amount of light anyway? I want a little more than that, hence the 70-80% film under it.

Oasis, eh? I think I've already been down there and have seen some of their work; not too shabby. That's where I was going to go anyway, unless someone knew of a really good place with a really good price. Thanks for the responses!
