Hey everyone...I wanted to let everyone know that I traded in my 98 SE at Newton dealership in chattanooga and got the silver 98 SVT. I am extremely impressed. I love it. It was sad to see the SE go but well worth it. Thanks to everyone for their help on this long chase.

How much did you end up giving for it? Congrats on the new car...Oh and sorry for driving her so hard... :-)
You mihgt want ot have all the recalls checked and also take a look at the Throttle Hang fix I believe the one you have has the beginnings of it. Later.

I got 5800 for my trade and it cost 12800...so 7000...not bad for an SVT I love it....should I take it to my local ford or to newton for the recalls?

I would call SVT and ask them of a Dealership in your Area they recomend for that kind of thing. Also you might want post in the General forum about asking for an Oasis Report that will tell you what recalls have been done and need to be done because they are from Fords system. If you want an Extended Warrenty I already checked on one for that car and it was $1400 with a $50 deductible, but that's only if you don't plan on doing to many modificaions. I can email it to you if you like. Congrats again and I think you got a great deal.

Congrats on buying an SVT now did u say that u live in Chattanooga? If so I would like to meet up sometime and let u see what i have done to mine so far and just hang out w/ another SVT owner

Lee Cox-thanks for the advice. We bought an extended bumper-to-bumper for the SVT so I don't know whether it will be free at ford or what.
SVT9801-I don't live in Chattanooga, I live in Maryville. It takes me about two hours to get to Chattanooga. If you want we could try to organize something for everyone.

I'm sorry to hear that they talked you into that. The ones you get from the dealer usually aren't worth crap. I hop I'm wrong in your case though.

yeah...my mom did the negotiating and she wanted me to be covered just in case....I have heard that they are crap though.
