Tirerack will heat cycle your tires for a fee. It makes it easy because then they get to rest during the shipping time. I have used the service, and had them shaved and can recommend it. I have found that shaving Kumho race tires to 4/32" and heat cycle to work the best. If I leave the tires at full depth, I lose usable grip long before the tread is gone. At 4/32" the grip and tread go at about the same time.

Yeah, I would have bought heat cycled ones, but that would have put me over budget. So I just did it myself. I think next time I will order them heat cycled though. It is a big pain in the ass to do it yourself.
Never have bought shaved tires. Maybe when I go back to nationals I'll buy a shaved set, or hoosiers.
