SVTCole, Colorado plates would be me, maybe next time we'll be able to hook up and I'll some more seat time and give you a run for your money, eh?

Mike

OK, Mike, I thought it was you but the talk of NE-CEG threw me. You ran Potenza RE 730 tires, right?BTW is frenchblue a guy or girl? Was she the short brunette girl at SZ? Did you make several runs with passengers? That could have hurt you or helped. I think it adds more balance to the car but of course there is a weight penalty. BigMoneyRacing and his girlfriend alternated running with each other one time and got too close for my comfort! I have also noticed better handling with a right-seater.

Speaking of BigMoneyRacing (Matt),thanks for the words of encouragement before and after. I'm not sure I "kicked Yankee butt", in fact, there seems little difference in driving talent between North and South and East and West. I DO think you would have faired very well since you can generally run within 1 or 2 seconds of me on a one minute course. So on this 25 second course, you would have been within less than a second in theory. I would love to see you run against The Mark, (who ran 2 seconds slower than Couture with race tires vs. my one second slower without)and 69Boss302. It would be very, very close race!!!

Back to work, picked up "Oceans 11" out on video/DVD today.

Original or remake? I loved the remake.

Drdsique, like Todras said. I asked to work first thinking I was going to leave early with a long drive ahead of me. So that left me lot's of time to scribble during the 3rd heat (so not sure how accurate)times as announced coming across the line. I just added more times to STS on page 1, including the Maxima's time from the General post elsewhere. He actually was driving pretty well.

Eventually, THEY will post the real results at the Western Michigan Region website on scca.org.
I also e-mailed Steve Brouer (S4 guy) about my misclassification but have not heard back from him. I wish Dave Andrews had run the auto-x since he clearly dominated the Gingerman event with his race tires and 12 years experience.

Off to work. Give EdwardC a break in the Off Topic forum. He's just jealous because he's got the "old" part down but can't muster the "fast" part to be part of FOGEY.

Don't worry Cole... There were two others out there with me.. The white SHO wagon and Dean from the First heat, although on the second heat I'm not so sure he could've hung in there without race tires considering I was drifting out of the corners at that point with race-rubber on.

I figure you and I will have to meet up somewhere between NYC and AL at an AutoX. Know of any offhand???
Have car will travel smile

I've spent about an hour updating my first post in this thread to reflect the times from Western Michigan's event with a few CORRECTIONS wink and comments, and added the PAX top ten. I did not post all the classes, but mainly the ones that concern us.

I should note that APT, one of our favorite trolls, ran the autocross school on Saturday (I could never find it) and posted time's equivalent to the Audi S4 times in his new IS300. I think he mentioned one modification, but I think he could have nearly won STS if he had run Sunday. He had a wedding to attend unfortunately. Dave Andrews, you had no such excuse. wink
