Some people believe a "church" is a building with a steeple on top, and maybe a bell. It has rows of seats and a place for a preacher to stand and talk. Well, contrary to popular believe a church is a body of people. That building is where the church meets to have fellowship. What we as a "church" (CEG) are experiencing is a renovation of our "church building" (Contour.org) Plain and simple, the website does not make the group. CEG is made of people. There is a good chance the contour.org server doesn't give a rat's ass about a car, much less an enthusiast. So, how about we all take a hiatus and find something else to do for a little while. GO OUTSIDE FOR GOODNESS SAKE!! See everyone soon in our new "building"

I promise to drive to the middle of nowhere (White Cloud, MI) and spend at least 72 hours under God's sky, wading in the White River, spending good times with old friends, and draft a high quality 7-7 fantasy football team while the site is down. Oh wait, I was going to do that anyway. Something tells me there is going to be a session of fun runs up and down the LONG STRAIGHT paved rural road the campsite is on. Last year I had to rent a Blazer to get out there b/c the engine was in 100 pieces. Viva la CEG!

I am of the same opinion as chris- we all should take a vacation so that those who maintain the site can get one too-
Although I am in the midst of a possible 3L upgrade I think now is as good of a time as any. so lets get off everyones back for a few days mabey a week or so and do something productive-
Then when we get back and CEG is back online we will all be much happier people, with a new site (mabey) to boot.

This is my vacation. When I'm not here, I'm Daddy to a little girl who has endless questions. Or a Systems Support Engineer to customers who don't like the answers But I do understand needing a break. TB

You're the man Chris and you're right. I have a whole lot of things to catch up on. Hopefully a break will make us appreciate what we have more and those who don't appreciate it will lose interest and disappear. Forgive our debts and forgive our debtors. See ya'll on the other side.

Are we really going down for an entire month?

I dunno if I can handle a break! I might go insane! Seriously, though...If that's what's needed, that's what shall be.

I got out yesterday and pedaled the two-wheeler ten miles on a great bike trail in Rhode Island with the wife and the young-uns. It was an exilarating way to spend my 43rd b-day.
Dust off that old Schwinn and get out there!

So this means that for about a half month (beginning late Aug.) I will actually pay attention to what I'm doing in college? I can't wait to see the CEG server come back on. I am thankful, though, that I am forced to take a break from the site and forums. Maybe this hiatus will be helpful ... ?
