In the August '02 issue of Automobile Magazine, they did an article on the '04 Focus. In it, they said the new Focus' platform was going to be used for the Protege, Volvo S40/V40 and the Mondeo... which may reappear in the States. Oooohhhhhh... It's possible, POSSIBLE I say, you saw a prototype on the road. However, they make it sound as if we'll have to wait 'til '06 for one.
BTW, the new Focus looks similar to the current one, except for the grille and lights, which I'm not yet sold on.
