Comments like "Yet another reason why SZ needs to get relocated to the east side. Everything is closed over there and there is nothing to do but look @ old cars and Mark's work." and the like aren't meant to be helpful now are they?
Keep in mind we have to go by the suggestions and comments of a group, not just one person. Everything is a compromise simple as that! If you don't think we are listening let me me remind you that you & Tim Kirk were the first people to suggest doing a road rally/ scavenger hunt type event. Guess what, we are planning on having one! Many people made suggestions about what they wanted to see on this year's name tags, we will have completely different tags this year to accomodate those suggestions. Food at the Banquet, changed. Better guest speakers, done. People complained about the Hotel's "Cook-out" (which was very understandable!!), so we did some talking with Lane Automotive and they are hosting the cook-out and its going to be %100 free.
Just because not all of your suggestions were used doesn't mean we don't listen or we don't care! -Mark

Mark, point taken. But, how does my suggesting relocating SZ in the future to an area with more stuff to do deem me as being "great"?
As far as questions/suggestions go. Here are a few :
1 - In the future I think everyone would have more fun if it were on the east side. More stuff to do @ night when we dont do anything. More car-related stuff over here too. Also, there are like 1 million dynos over here so we wouldnt have a problem finding a place to dyno more that 10 cars.
2 - Auto-X.....is there a seperate class for race tires? If not, are you going to make one? If not, wil they be allowed at all? Only reason I ask is because i plan on using dave's car in the event and I'm sure he doesnt want to chew up his $700 worth of tires in an auto-x. Also, to win the "SZ Cup," are you going to make it a required element to attend the whole weekend or let some kid come to just the auto-x and win like last year?

We want '03 to be held on the East Side of the State, I am just going to need some serious help w/ the planning!.
As for the Auto-X, racing tires have been a hot topic of discussion. Personally I don't want to see them, but ultimately its not up to me. We are needing to meet up w/ Bronco Motorsports (the guys who do the W. MI Auto-X's w/ SCCA) about class structure and scoring. So I will have a complete listing in the near future. As for being able to compete in the SZ Cup, you have to be a paid registrant of the Convention. Last year Don (the guy who won) did pay his registration in advance, but ended up not being able to participate in the previous two days because of his job. The fact is he still paid, so I don't see why he shouldn't have been allowed to compete. Now, if he just showed up and tried to enter without being a paid registrant then it would have been a different story. -Mark

So I was thinking...
After seeing the SZ video from last year, and the show cased cars such as Brad's S/C SE and Sam's S/C SVT, I got a great idea so that my car will be showcased on the next video.
I'm going to put hydrolics on my car, and make it bounce really high. Either that, or I'll have the first SuperTurbo Charged 3L 'Tour in the world. Who's ready for me to come to SZ '02?!?! :p

Any Tag complaints should be directed to me!
#1 Size at '01 was too big, agreed, changed for '02
#2 SZ paid for Tag holders & Lanyards only - the printing was my contribution to SZ'01
Please air your grievences here as I am about otstart the SZ02 tag work!
Suggestion for SZ02 planners - Please consider not giving an award to EVERY single participant.
With Regards to SZ03, Ann Arbor, MI would be a great choice! PLenty to do (college town = bars, clubs, ladies), great back country roads nearby (go to Hell!), 45 minutes from Detroit, so side trips to the big D are easily reached!
