Actually, we had no idea any of them existed; we were offering them to the Contour folks because we already were making them for the Cougar and they happen to be interchangeable.
I'm sure each product has its benefits, the Mirko Racing ones are anodized in your choice of red, blue or silver, and come with nuts that are color matched (or a color of your choice) which would probably make for a better show-piece. These are not Contour/Mondeo specific, but rather Cougar/Contour/Mondeo specific.
In any case, I think you can hardly call a battery-strap a 'Stolen idea', since they've been around for quite some time.
