The battery tie down changed somewhere along the way on the Contours. Probably with the 98 switch. The earlier tie downs kinda bent down at the edge of the battery about an inch or so, hugging the side of the battery. I dunno if this would effect the way this tie down fits (chances are it won't work with the early style, the bolt doesn't look long enough), but it's worth checking out before spending the $$$.
